As a victim of hormonal acne, I am flattered when someone compliments me about how glowy my skin looks. It took months of consistent skincare routine to mitigate my acne and now, it’s all maintenance mode. I’ll share this story another time, but in this post, I want to share with you my current skincare routine and tips on how to keep your skin glowing.
Since I recently added HUM Nutrition’s Glow Sweet Glow supplement to my routine, they asked me to share my tips and tricks for glowy skin on their Instagram stories. I figured I’d share them on here with you, too.
If you haven’t read my previous posts, my days can get crazy busy with juggling a full time job, working out 5-6x a week, and doing this blogging thing. Keeping my skincare routine as simple as possible is a must!
How to keep your skin glowing:
Drink tons of water.
Yep. You read right. You’ve either read about it somewhere or heard about it and it could not be more true! Water is a major factor in hydration of our entire body yet alone our skin. It’s as simple as more water equals hydrated skin.
Keep your skin clean.
I use FRÉ Skincare on the daily, which is made for active women who sweat. Considering I workout so much, I have to clean my face every single day to avoid my pores from clogging with dirt, sweat, and other junk.
If you’d like to give FRÉ a try, save 15% using code: RARAX3. If you aren’t satisfied, you may return full size products within 30 days of receipt for a refund.
Hydrate your face with a sheet mask.
Sometimes our face needs extra love. Two to three times a week, I’ll put on a face sheet mask for 15-20 mins. Different masks have different purposes and I generally tend to use the hydration ones. I make it a point to do this before or after a race since I run under the direct sun for more than two hours.
Always use SPF.
The sun and its lovely rays are damaging to our skin. I have seen scary pictures of truck drivers who age drastically on one side of their face that’s exposed to the sun often. I never leave the house without SPF or even sit by a window without it.
Eat your supplements.
As I said previously, I’ve been taking HUM Nutrition’s Glow Sweet Glow. It contains hyaluronic acid which keeps my face moisturized and also includes vitamin E and C to protect skin from damage.
To recap, here are my five tips for glowy skin:
- Drink tons of water
- Keep your skin clean
- Hydrate your face with a sheet mask
- Always use SPF
- Eat your supplements
Hope you found these tips useful. Remember, skincare doesn’t have to be complicated. If you don’t have all the time in the world for a 10-step routine, keep these basic things in mind and you’ll be fine.
Now it’s your turn to share. What are your tips for glowy skin? I want to know what also works for you. Let me know in the comments below or tag me on Instagram @rarax3 with your answers.
