About me:My name is Jamie Janetzko, and I am a nursing student at Clemson University in South Carolina. I also am a combat medic in the U.S. Army Reserves. Safe to say, I am busy and live a very active lifestyle. My biggest passion is health and fitness, specifically weightlifting. I hope to compete in powerlifting and bodybuilding someday. Currently, I am in the process of becoming a Certified Personal Trainer, and I hope to be able to help others fall in love with the gym and themselves as much as I have.
My skincare journey
My skin is sensitive and when I wasn’t using products that suited my skin, itwas very dry. I experienced dry patches, peeling, and redness, especially in winter. In addition, I struggled a lot with acne; my skin was red, bumpy, uneven, and irritated. It made me self-conscious, and I let my skin define me.
I would deal with my skincare issues by trying new products. Nothing seemed to help; I also would dry out my skin even more with acne treatment products. At one point, I did see a dermatologist about my skin. She prescribed a topical treatment for my acne, but it just dried out and irritated my skin even more. I thought I needed to treat my acne with all of these harsh treatments, butwhat I needed to do was treat my skin for its sensitivity. I struggled with acne, because my skin was so sensitive; my complexion completely changed when Istopped treating my skin for acne and started treating its sensitivity.
Transforming my skin
Now that I use FRÉ, one of the biggest changes has been the consistency for my skin. My skinloves the products, and I can tell when I need to implement certain products, suchasDETOX ME. My skin no longer gets incredibly dry and flaky in the winter, and I love that I don't have to consistently hunt for new products, because I know FRÉ works for my skin.
Being on the birth control pill helped tame my hormonal acne. After being on the pill for almost three years, I got off of it. Otherwise, being consistent in my skincare routine has made a world of a difference for my complexion.
Today, my skin is not perfect, but it's a work in progress. I love that I finally feelconfident in my skin and don't have to worry about what others might be thinkingabout my complexion. Now, my skin is hydrated and so much brighter.
My daily routine
In the morning, I wake up and work out first thing. After my workout, I wash with PURIFY ME, and sometimes applyREVIVE ME andBRIGHTEN ME. Usually, I reach for GLOW ME. I don't ever wear any foundation, and I honestly haven’t used any in probably four years.GLOW ME is the perfect product for me; I love how it smooths over my skin and evens out my skin tone. I love to wear a cream blush on top ofGLOW ME and sometimes mascara.
At night, if I have mascara on, I remove it withCLEANSE ME, and then I follow upwithPURIFY ME,REVIVE ME,BRIGHTEN ME, andRECOVER ME.
My favorite FRÉ
I would have to pickPROTECT ME or GLOW ME. I use PROTECT ME all the time. In the summer, it is theonly product I will put on my face. I bring it to the beach and the pool and reapply it throughout the day (like sunscreen). I never get burnt while doing this, and itdoesn’t irritate my skin like every sunscreen out there does. I also loveGLOW ME, because, as I said before, I don't wear foundation , soGLOW ME is like makeup to me, and itworks so well with my skin!
What would your dream FRÉ product be?
I feel like FRÉ already has everything I could ever need. MaybePROTECT ME with a high SPF; I would use it all summer long!
